THE GREAT GET TOGETHER SE1

Hosted by Living Bankside

11:00 - 18:30

Living Bankside is pleased to host, once again, this year’s Great Get Together SE1.

Living Bankside is an award winning charitable organisation which seeks to improve the lives of people in Bankside, SE1, Southwark and beyond.

The two sentences which best describe our values are:

“Whoever you are, whatever your background know that you are valued and loved”

“We are about doing good, making a positive impact, whilst having fun!”

The Great Get Together SE1 is part of the UK’s annual celebration of everything that unites our communities, inspired by Jo Cox’s belief that we have more in common than that which divides us.

The Great Get Together SE1 is one of the biggest FREE community events in London.

Why?

The need to celebrate unity and reject division is as relevant now as it was when the first Great Get Together took place in 2017. This June, on what would have been Jo’s 50th birthday, we hope her message will continue to inspire our communities to bring people together.

“While we celebrate our diversity, what surprises me time and time again as I travel around the constituency is that we are far more united and have far more in common than that which divides us.” - Jo Cox MP

This year the event will also include Pride in Southwark to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and heritage in the area. Festivities will include an array of music, performances, and children's activities.

Check out the programme below and please consider supporting our work in bringing communities together by donating.
